E3 Description:

channel type

  1. Riffle/pool sequences on a Meandering channel
  2. High Meander width ratio, low width/depth ratio
  3. Low slope and little Deposition
  4. Very efficient and stable

  • Entrenchment: Slight entrenchment > 2.2
  • Water Surface Slope/Gradient: < 2%
  • Dominant Substrate Particle Size: Predominantly cobble
  • Width/Depth Ratio: < 12
  • Sinuosity: > 1.5
