DA6 Description:

channel type

  1. Highly connected multiple channels, narrow and deep
  2. A very broad, well vegetated Floodplain and wetlands
  3. Very gentle relief with highly variable Sinuosity and high Meander belt width
  4. Stable Stream banks

  • Entrenchment: Low entrenchment > 2.2
  • Water Surface Slope/Gradient: < 0.5%
  • Dominant Substrate Particle Size: Predominantly silt/clay
  • Width/Depth Ratio: < 40
  • Sinuosity: 1.1 - 1.6
