To assess computation of river mean velocity based on use of FGM terms and variables.

Exercise Explanation

  1. Mean Velocity is defined as u = Q / A.
  2. The data provided create the following equation: y = 2802 / 467.
  3. Mean velocity is 6 ft/s, which is reasonable for gently sloping Bankfull channels.
