Explanation of Rosgen Valley Type Exercise 3

Exercise Objective

To assess the results of Rosgen Level I classification of Valley type based on imagery analysis.

Exercise Explanation

  1. Note that this image shows a a v-notched upper feature above point A, and an Alluvial fan near point B, similar to that shown in Valley Types I and III.
  2. Revisit the Valley classification key if you missed either correct answer for this exercise.
