Rosgen Level I

Rosgen Level 1 classification is a described as a geomorphic characterization of Stream types A to G. Inputs into this characterization are:

• Channel Slope relative to Valley slope and Sinuosity
• Channel shape relative to width and depth
• Channel pattern relative to single and multiple paths and Meander features

Level 1 analysis requires rigorous map and photo interpretation of Valley features and Stream pattern and profile.
