Cross Sectional View - DimensionCross-sectional view, or dimension, is a horizontal view. It provides a vertical slice perpendicular to the banks, most often revealing the Stream. In this example, it helps us to recognize the dimensions of a riparian system such as Floodplain, Bankfull, and Baseflow (terms defined later in the FGM Module) and provides for us the necessary values to calculate cross-sectional area and discharge. | |
