Exercise Objective

To assess identification of Rosgen Level I Stream type based on Valley type.

Exercise Explanation

  1. DA and D, and maybe C and E Stream Types associated with Valley Type XI, Deltas.
  2. C, E, and DA and if channelized G and F Stream Types associated with Valley Type X, extensive Floodplain.
  3. C and D Stream Types associated with Valley Type IX, glacial outwash.
  4. B with occasionally C, F, and G Stream Types associated with Valley Type VI, fault controlled.
  5. F Stream Types associated with Valley Type IV, gorges.
  6. B Stream Types associated with Valley Type II, Colluvial.
