Rosgen Level IV
Rosgen Level 4 classification is a described as a validation level for Stream types earlier characterized in Level 2 and 3. Inputs into this characterization are:
- Sediment Measurements including bedload and suspended sediment
- Stream flow Measurements including hydraulics, resistance, and hydrographs
- Stability in the Aggradation and Degradation spectrum
- Sediment change in storage and size distribution
- Bank Erosion rates
- Time trends regarding stability
Level 4 analysis is the most exhaustive field assessment of the system, and is not covered in detail in this FGM Module.
