To assess the Bankfull return interval estimate extracted from the WATSTORE data.

Exercise Explanation

  1. Bankfull Discharge was given as 23,639 cfs
  2. Graphically, Bankfull Discharge of 23,639 cfs intersected the plotted data line at a return interval of approximately 2 yrs along the WATSTORE data points resorted by probability.
  3. Tabularly, Bankfull Discharge of 23,639 cfs as interpolated from the probability table resulted in a Bankfull return interval value of 2.1 yrs.
