Computing Meander Width Ratio Exercise

Exercise Objective

To compute river Meander Width Ratio through application of FGM terms and variables.

Exercise Process

  1. Revisit the key term Meander Width Ratio and/or key variable MWR.
  2. Note the survey report for Meander belt width in the table on this page.
  3. Use the Bankfull Width value obtained in the previous exercise.
  4. Compute the Meander width ratio.
